What are the Proud Beaches scholarships?

This scholarship will pay the cost of becoming a surf lifesaver. It will support you in joining your local surf lifesaving club. The scholarship will pay for the:

• Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC)

• Bronze Medallion (BM).

What is the Proud Beaches Mentorship Program?

For the first time in 2024/2025, Lifesavers with Pride will match you up with one of our members, to provide the ongoing support you need to complete your lifesaver training! All successful applicants and their mentors will join a new community of current and upcoming lifesavers to keep you engaged and beach ready throughout the training!

What is involved in the application for the Proud Beaches scholarship?

Applications are assessed based on your responses to why you want to be a surf lifesaver, your involvement with the LGBTQIA+ community, and how you anticipate to support diversity and inclusion in your new local surf club.
